Accommodation

During the safari, you will be staying at two different lodges. The first three nights you will stay at Mara Leisure Camp and on the last night, you will be staying at Lake Nakuru lodge.


Mara Leisure Camp

Mara Leisure Camp promises you a unique safari adventure. For the discerning palate, they have expert chefs who prepare delicious cuisine. As dusk rolls in, enjoy romantic evenings while you watch the sunset over the plains, or get cozy by the fireplace while enjoying a sundowner. At night, listen to the unique sounds of nightfall in the African wilderness while you tip your head back and become mesmerized by the star-studded, velvet skies above.

Mara Leisure Camp is the only camp with a swimming pool in the area. In between the wildlife and activities, you can relax and take a swim in the pool as you sip a cocktail from the barman’s selection.

Lake Nakuru Lodge

The Lake Nakuru Lodge is situated in a wonderland which lies in the heart of one of Kenya’s parks (Ramsar site), only two hours leisurely drive on first class roads from Nairobi, through some of the most exciting scenery to be seen anywhere in Africa.

Situated in the southeastern ecological niche of the park is the Lake Nakuru Lodge, an oasis of comfort and excellent services with commanding views of the lesser Flamingo interspersed with the Greater Flamingo for which Lake Nakuru is justly famous. It is another world for the visitors, where one easily forgets the hustle and bustle of the city.

The lodge blends in well with the surroundings and the animals often browse peacefully close to the lodge and environs, much to the fascination of the visitors.

They can accommodate up to 120 people, either in family rooms, cottages, or suites. The service is unmatched anywhere in Kenya, a country renowned for hospitality. Above all, the staff is friendly and competent. There is excellent cuisine which includes outside catering, Bush barbecues, African nights and sundowners.

After a day’s game watching, the spacious logged Mama Nikki bar, the cool upstairs Rhino Paddock cocktail bar overlooking the lake and guest enticing blue swimming pool can be particularly inviting. Evening entertainment and slide shows for guests and interesting and varied. In the park, sites read a Walt Disney Fantasy. The Baboon Cliff Lookout sits next to Honeymoon Hill.

 

Itinerary (10 days)


Day 1: Nairobi to Masai Mara

Pick up from Nairobi hotel and join the rest of the group then depart for the Masai Mara Game Reserve, via the viewpoint of the Great Rift Valley and Narok. You will stop at Narok town for lunch. Upon arrival, you will proceed for a game drive, tracking various animal species and birds with your driver or guide. Dinner and overnight at the Mara Leisure Camp.

The lodge is a luxury lodger that borders Masai Mara National Reserves without fences. Lunch, dinner, and drinking water are included on this day.


Day 2: Masai Mara National Reserve

After breakfast, you will proceed on a full day of game viewing within the reserve. The landscape here is scenic savannah grassland on rolling hills. The reserve is the best park for a game in Kenya as it has an extensive road and track network which allows for close range viewing and photography. Break for your picnic lunch at the hippo pool, looking out for hippos and crocodile. Dinner and overnight at the Mara Leisure Camp.


Day 3: Masai Mara National Reserve

After breakfast, you will proceed on a full day of game viewing within the reserve. The landscape here is scenic savannah grassland on rolling hills. The reserve is the best park for a game in Kenya as it has an extensive road and track network which allows for close range viewing and photography. Break for your picnic lunch at the hippo pool, looking out for hippos and crocodile. Dinner and overnight at the Mara Leisure Camp.


Day 4: Masai Mara to Lake Nakuru National Park

You will have early morning pre-breakfast game drive. After breakfast, you will depart the Mara region for Nakuru, lunch enroute, with scenic views of Mount Longmont and Lake Naivasha from afar on the main highway. Dinner and overnight at Lake Nakuru Lodge. This park is popular for the best sights of the black and white rhinos. You will be staying at Lake Nakuru lodge. The lodge is situated inside the Lake Nakuru Park.


Day 5: Lake Nakuru to Nairobi

After breakfast, you will proceed on a game drive in Lake Nakuru Park, known for its prolific birdlife including flamingoes. The park contains a sanctuary for the conservation of the white rhino while species like Cape buffalo and waterbuck can be seen near the shoreline. You will drive back to Nairobi to be dropped at airport or hotel in the city.
